Keeping the historical identity of a peculiar and complex environment as the one of Cinque Terre means also being able to focus clearly on distinctive characters of an anthropic landscape and its original chromatic elements, defending the rich variety of places against the nowadays tendency to homologation, regarding the local historical buildings. Through a  systematic data collection (surveys on countryside, photogrammetric surveys and carrying out cataloguing and census data sheet), studies and measurement colours on historical plasters, surveys on state of conservation of painted architectures, samples collection in loco, scientific laboratories analysis, the Cinque Terre “colour project”, aims a chromatic and technical solutions, trought simulation by experimental models, formulating a color palette compatible with the historical heritage and, at the same time, suitable for further developments, by defining colours similarities and suspicious deviances through synthesis charts.
